Afternoon Tea

Longtime direct care volunteer Marilyn Crandall is leaving to go to London on a mission.  In honor of her upcoming trip, her goodbye party was a tea party with all of the elegant trimmings.  During the summer, Marilyn's home was the cool place to be...it was the one with the pool! She and her husband were so kind as to offer their home for pool parties and swimming field trips for the Center.  The staff and kids love Marilyn's kind nature and are truly going to miss her.

At this lovely goodbye tea party the kids had a blast.  From pinkies in the air to tea cups and cupcakes they were open to having a wonderful party, boys included!  Marilyn was given a scrapbook that the kids and staff compiled for her with some extra special sentiments from some of the kids...

"I will miss you"

"Don't scream on the airplane!"

"Don't get hurt and don't open the door to anyone you don't know"

"Thank you for helping me with my homework"

"Bring money, I think that they have different money in England"

"Is England hot? If it is, don't get dehydrated"

"I hope you have a tea party with the queen"

"Do they speak English in England?"

Thank you, Marilyn, for all that you have done for the Child Crisis Center!
